In 2021, I published my dissertation. This work has become increasingly relevant as we have returned to work post-COVID, and corporations have increasingly reduced feelings of empowered connections by removing autonomy from the workplace. Autonomy is a driving factor in a positive workplace and helps foster connection and trust. When we feel trusted, we feel a deeper connection with others.
